So is the case with children. However, the "some" needs to be replaced by "all" in the first sentence and "others" in the second sentence, then comes to define all those who are not "children" (at heart?).

We have had a fantastic week at HSR Layout, sparking creativity and curiosity amongst the children. The attitude went from "Impossible", "No way", "Oh! No" on the first day, when faced with problems to "Let's try", "I have an idea" and "Aha!" starting from the 3rd day onwards. It was a dream come true moment for us and personal victories for children for having created new pathways in their ways of thinking, their minds are stretched and the attitudes ingrained.

All that remains is a continued impetus and our "thinking skills" program starting in June combined with the nifty techniques we taught the parents will focus on precisely that! Looking forward to welcoming these kids back in June!!!

The first week of our summer camp is underway and it has been a stream of creative thoughts flowing around us. Children's brains once stimulated don't cease to amaze us. The quietest amongst them comes up with the wackiest concept that would leave a creative artist struggling for inspiration, in comparison.

It is a pleasure to work with such bright young minds and be able to mould them to think about solutions through an open ended lens and look at multiple creative possibilities around them! It is fun to watch them step by step, day by day, try new things, different things and bracing themselves to deal with change creatively rather than defensively.

It is absolute joy to hear them go "Oh, oh, I have an idea, can I try again?" when confronted with a problem, instead of saying, "I'm bored" or "I give up". As we move forward having sparked their minds, we would like to look back at the moments and cherish them as those that created a difference in their attitude towards life.

The summer camps are just around the corner and seats are filling up across our locations pretty fast. Before I say anything else, I'd like to take a moment to thank all the parents and our location partners for the faith they have shown in us. You have made our conviction to "create confident thinkers" amongst children in India, a very strong resolve.

As we huddled up to talk about our approach towards the summer camp, some things stood out. For one, we are not approaching this as a place for children to while away time. It will be fun, it will have a lot of games and activities but at the same time it will be a shared learning experience for the children and the facilitator.

Secondly, as we move them through the process of building the skill of thinking creatively, we are intently focussed on changing how they view the world around them. Especially, it is an attempt to move it from a view of limited possibilities to unlimited possibilities. This helps build a "never give up" attitude in the child and will help them stand in good stead through the ups and downs of life.

Thirdly, we want to work with them to be able to work towards a natural style of creative expression and help them be more imaginative and structured in their thoughts.

With these thoughts in mind, we are gearing towards a "sunny" and "creative" summer this year!
