When you bring your child to Sparkling Mindz International Preschool you get access to holistic and balanced development of your child from a team that is well-experienced preschool staff who are dedicated to the field of child development for the past several years.
We are a unique preschool conceptualized based on four philosophies: 1. Reggio-Emilia Inspired - An educational philosophy for preschool developed in Italy based on an understanding that children are endowed with a hundred languages. The aim is to empower the child to use them to express themselves and wonder about the world around! The program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. Children learn through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment based on their interests. 2. Structured Play - “Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn.” – O. Fred Donaldson. At our preschool we nurture each child's intelligences by constantly challenging them. Children actively participate in play and discover that learning can be fun. Children who learn through play become lifelong learners. When children play, they learn from their mistakes. We, at Sparkling Mindz, inspire learning through PLAY! 3. Facilitation - We have faculty well-trained in facilitation skills. Our facilitators make sure that every child feels comfortable and participates in all activities. They ensure that every child's ideas are heard and children feel good about their contribution. We believe children are capable of thinking, learning and sharing. 4. Curriculum frameworks based on Multiple Intelligences and Neuro Linguistic Programming. With our MI (Multiple Intelligences) based program we believe that every child is unique and deserves to be understood and nurtured based on their strengths. NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is an offshoot of Cognitive Psychology. It forms the foundation of our program and builds useful patterns of behavior & learning in children. What is Multiple Intelligences? The theory of multiple intelligences is a model of intelligence that differentiates it into eight specifics, rather than a single general ability (IQ). This model was proposed by Dr. Howard Gardner in his 1983. The eight intelligences are- musical–rhythmic, visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic, logical–mathematical, bodily–kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. Each individual possesses a unique blend of all the intelligences. The intent of intelligences is not labelling learners to a specific intelligence. In fact, it should "empower learners" and not restrict them to one modality of learning. Why Multiple Intelligences for preschoolers? At the age when they are relatively untouched by the real world, we can not only understand their unique intelligence profile but also develop and nurture them well. At this age it is crucial that they develop their abilities to interact with their environment and materials positively and comfortably while learning useful skills in a fun and challenging manner. We believe that a skill when taught and reinforced through multiple intelligences is etched in the child's mind easily and internalized for life. Then, instead of spending their time learning things by rote they can actually spend time exploring the world around them, building their dreams and making new friends! How is the preschool program structured? At our preschool facilities, children go through five facets of learning - exploration, movement, imagination, interactions & reflections. Your child will learn useful skills of numeracy, language, gross and fine motor skills, visualization, social etiquette, civic awareness and self-care in a creative, fun and enriching environment. What are the various age groups? Guppies - Pre-Playgroup (1.5+ years) Pups - Playgroup (2+ years) Calves - Nursery (3+ years) Cubs - Juniors (4+ years) Joeys - Seniors (5+ years) Daycare - offered post the regular school timings only for Sparkling Mindz students. What we will NOT do?
We offer pick up and drop, day care facilities and home cooked meals to the children. You can register with us here to understand the process and meet with us. Kindly note: We don't meet direct walk-ins at the school for safety and security reasons. Meetings are scheduled only as per appointments made with the admissions team post registration. |
