Today at the Alternate Schooling and Education Expo conducted by EdDeed at Visthar, one of our Year of Discovery (YoDA) students stood there not with rehearsed lines, but with lived conviction - speaking about their projects, about problems they identified, how they converted them into purposeful action.
There was clarity, confidence, and calm ownership.
And in that moment, someone observing her turned to one of our YODA students and asked:
“Are you the founder?”
We smiled.
Because,
- when children live and breathe their work every single day, when they don’t just present projects but embody them.
- when purpose becomes part of their identity they don’t look like students
They are leaders.
This is what happens when learning is not for marks but for meaning.
